Vitamin D light

We are considering the purchase of a Vitamin D light. Knowing that it is a fat soluble vitamin, and therefore we don’t want to have too much of it, I’m wondering if/how we would be able to regulate how much we are taking in. I’m sure distance from the light, duration, how much skin is exposed vs covered all effect the level absorbed. Is there any “formula” to know how much you are getting?
